What is a zine?
A zine, or fanzine, is an independently published magazine by and for fans who share interests.
What is Ex Animo?
Ex Animo is a free digital zine focused in the characters of Mondstadt.
What is the theme?
The theme is "what you love about Mondstadt"; be it Albedo’s confusing fate, Diluc’s dark past, Klee’s fun everyday shenanigans, or anything about anyone else!
How will the characters be assigned?
By RNG. You will mark a number of characters and you will be randomly assigned one of those you chose. This is to prevent the zine from having many pieces of the same character.Using three characters from your pool, you will be assigned one to be the focus of your piece. The two additional characters will be supports that you can choose to incorporate into your pieces.
Which characters will be included in the zine?
Albedo, Amber, Barbara, Bennett, Diluc, Diona, Eula, Fischl, Jean, Kaeya, Klee, Lisa, Mona, Noelle, Razor, Rosaria, Sucrose, Venti and the traveler.
Will the traveler be included?
We are considering both Aether and Lumine with the Anemo element to be included in the zine as well.
Can I add other characters to my piece?
Yes, you can, but your assigned character must be the focus of your piece. NPCs are also allowed.
Are ships allowed?
The zine will be strictly platonic.
Who can apply?
Anyone, you just need to share one finished work with us.
We won't require a minimum of skill to the applicants, only the desire to participate or be part of a zine.
How many contributors will you be accepting?
We are looking for 40 artists, 40 writers and 15 merch artists, but the minimum number of participants we would like to work with is 2 per character, 1 artist and 1 writer.
Because the applications will not be based on skill, it will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to apply early if you want to participate!
Can we collab?
Yes, you can collab with other contributors. It can be between artists, writers or artists and writers.
Do I have to be paired with others who got the same character as me?
While it is not necessary for both artists and writers on the same character to collab on their pieces, we encourage it if you'd like to do so!
Will NSFW content be featured in the zine?
No, all content must be SFW.

GUIDELINES
All contributors will be expected to join the zine server, which will be used for communication purposes, during the estimated time, to comply with the schedule, submit one finished piece and to not post the piece they made until the zine's release.Page artists
Minimum requirements for page artists:
A5 size piece (5,83x8,27 in or 14,8x21 cm), at 300 dpi, lineart or lineless with flat colors and a simple background (it can be one color, but not white). 3 pages max.Writers
Minimum requirements for writers:
A single piece of 500 to 5,000 words about your assigned character.
Poetry is also accepted. While we won’t hold poets to the 500 word minimum,
we will require 6 lines or more.Digital Merch artists

Desktop wallpaper (3840x2160 px), Phone wallpaper (1080x1920 px)
Icon (750x750 px), Emote (128x128 px)Cover artist
